Hobbes Is Available For Adoption

Hobbes is an adorable 2-3 year old male Pekingese that we rescued from an LA County shelter on 9/24. He is available for adoption or foster now from Leave No Paws Behind. For more on Hobbes, please keep reading 😁

Hobbes was turned into the shelter after he was viciously attacked by a large dog. When we rescued him, he was in really bad shape, but his tail was wagging, he appeared to be smiling,  and he was happy to get out of the shelter.

When we rescued him, he was covered in blood, and it was difficult to see what kind of dog he was. The vet at the shelter had examined him, and they inserted a drain to help reduce swelling. At the time, we couldn't even tell if he had a left eye. We rushed him straight to our vet at The Pet Dr's of Sherman Oaks. Hobbes was cleaned up and examined. He was placed on meds, and after the swelling went down, the Dr had to go in a remove what was left of a shattered left eye.

Hobbes has bounced back from his surgery. He is a happy, playful, confident dog. He loves to go out for walks, is great on leash, is neutered and up to date on all his shots, he is housetrained, and likes to work for treats.

Hobbes is a favorite at our vet's office with both the Dr's and the vet techs. He gets along with other dogs and we think he will be a great companion for someone looking to add a small dog to their home.

Hobbes lost his left eye, but he has healed and is ready to find his forever home. Is that you? If you are interested in either adopting or fostering Hobbes, and in the Southern California area, please email info@leavenopawsbehind.com. Hobbes is ready to make you laugh and smile!
